Foundry Residuals are heavy, meaning the unit weight for most foundry residuals is 1 1/2 tons to 2 tons per cubic yard. A twenty cubic yard rolloff container loaded with foundry sand can weight 30 tons or more. The average garbage company rolloff truck can haul 12 tons legally. If the garbage company truck could even pick up a 20 cubic yard container it would not be legal to drive on the roads. RRC has purchased specialized heavy duty rolloff tractor trailers that can legally haul in excess of 30 tons net load in Michigan. This allows RRC to haul more tons per load then the average garbage company reducing the price per ton for West Michigan foundries.
